Eaton Park Road in Palmers Green was this week declared to be London’s friendliest street by the BBC Radio London breakfast show . To mark the event the show’s presenters, Paul Ross & Jo Good, broadcast Thursday morning’s show live from a double decker bus parked on the street.

For those that are not familiar with Eaton Park Road it’s an Edwardian turning off Green Lanes on the Winchmore Hill side of Palmers Green, it’s lined with trees on either side and many of the houses have been converted.

MP David Burrowes, the mayor, and even property makeover expert Sarah Beeney got in on the act.

Presenter Paul Ross, said: “I don’t think we’ve ever known anywhere where people have such a sense of community.
“We’ve had a wonderful welcome from incredibly welcoming people and it’s been a fantastic morning.”

We’re expecting a rash of enquiries from people in the coming week wanting to live on London’s friendliest street.

The show is still available to listen to on the BBC iPlayer.
